 By accessing this website www.avocetarts.com and/or placing an order you agree to these terms and conditions. By placing an order with avocetarts.com you are deemed to have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. If you have any questions please contact us immediately at artist@avocetarts.com

 

How to purchase a Painting

If you are interested in purchasing a painting or print from Avocet Arts you can either use the Paypal "pay now" button next to the relevant painting or send an email to artist@avocetarts.com. You can send payment by cheque or postal order in (uk)£ or online by credit or debit cards via Paypal.com (no account required).

Your painting will be despatched as soon as payment is confirmed (cheques need to clear first). You will be kept informed of the process of your order by email at all times.

All paintings offered for sale though avocet arts are shown in Pounds Sterling. Postal charges are extra and depend upon your location.

If you send payment by credit card or debit card through Paypal. Avocetarts.co.uk will have no access to your credit/debit card details - these are collected separately and securely by Paypal. If you have any questions regarding privacy you can e-mail me at: artist@avocetarts.co.uk.

Delivery of your Art

Your  will be dispatched as soon as possible after payment is confirmed. I will confirm by email all details and a delivery estimate. All original paintings are sent via an insured, recorded delivery method. With in the uk this will be either via recorded or special delivery depending upon the value of the artwork. For international delivery artwork will be sent via international recorded airmail delivery with adequate insurance.




International customers


Import duties or taxes may apply in countries outside the UK and the payment if these remain the responsibility of the customer. Customs policies vary from country to country and you should contact your local customs office for further information.




Returns and refunds

In accordance with distance selling regulations you have the right to cancel your order within seven days of receipt of the goods.

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase when you receive it, or if it is damaged in transit, you will get a full refund when returning the artwork in the same original condition it was sent. Postage and packing costs will not be refunded and all postage and packing costs associated with the return are the responsibility of the customer. All original paintings must be returned by royal mail recorded or special delivery or an appropriate courier service with sufficient insurance to the full purchase value. It may not be possible to offer a refund or replacement if paintings are lost or damaged during return postage.

These regulations do not apply to goods made to the customers own specification. Returns on commissions will be accepted at the artists discretion.


 

If an Artwork is Lost or Damaged During Delivery.

I will confirm your painting has been dispatched and give you a delivery estimate. If you do not receive delivery/attempted delivery within the specified time I will contact the relevant courier and track the parcel. If the parcel is lost I will make and complete a claim with the relevant courier company and forward you the money once the claim has been completed. It may also be possible to offer you a replacement artwork.


Paintings are securely packaged for delivery and I have never had a painting arrive damaged. However, here is what to do if your order arrives damaged.


If your art work has been damaged in transit.....

All paintings are sent packaged flat in a strong board envelope to avoid any damage/creases. Please inspect your package thoroughly before accepting and/or signing for it. If there is any damage you should make a note of this on the delivery record. If you do not the courier may not consider a claim for damage.

The original packaging and contents must be retained for the courier to inspect or they may not consider a claim for damage .

Please contact me as soon as possible. I will make a claim with royal mail or the courier and either give you a refund or a replacement.


 

Representation of Paintings and Prints

Every care has been taken to provide an accurate representation of the paintings and prints available for purchase, however this does not guarantee a perfect reproduction of the original. All paintings have be photographed in daylight and the images have not been enhanced in any way except for cropping but individual screen hardware, software and settings may alter individual colour reproduction.

All content, text and images displayed on this site and sold through this site remain copyright to the artist, and may not be copied, reproduced, archived or saved in a database, published or altered by any means what so ever with out the express written permission of the artist.
 


Privacy Policy

Avocetarts.com respects your privacy and will not trade or rent your e-mail address, name, postal address or phone number to any third party. You address will only be used to arrange delivery of your painting. Any information you provide is strictly confidential.

I will only email you regarding your purchase or enquiry, once the transaction is complete, I will not contact you again unless you have requested to be added to my mailing list.

Your email address is only retained by me if you have specifically asked to be added to my mailing list. My online mailing list is maintained by constant contact who operate a double opt in list where you have to confirm your subscription. All newsletters contain unsubscribe information and you can request to be removed from my mailing list at any time.
